The Forest Road Company Hires Seasoned Life Sciences Investor Bill Burkoth

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Forest Road Company (Forest Road) announced today that Bill Burkoth has joined the firm’s asset management business as Managing Partner of Life Sciences.

Mr. Burkoth brings a wealth of expertise to this new venture, with over 20 years of life science venture capital investing and startup experience.

Prior to joining Forest Road, Mr. Burkoth served as the Life Science and Healthcare Managing Partner at SVB Capital within Silicon Valley Bank. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing financing to both emerging and established companies operating within the life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Prior to SVB, Mr. Burkoth was a Founder and Senior Partner at Pfizer Ventures, managing venture capital investments in healthcare related companies, leading the execution, management, and eventual exits of these investments. Bill previously led investments and served on the board of NeuMoDx Molecular, Novocure, Reflexion Medical, Palleon Pharmaceuticals, among others.
