The new system will provide a more modern, convenient customer experience — both online and in the new mobile app. New functionality will allow MDWFP to seamlessly manage license and permit sales, while also providing greater customer insights through an intuitive CRM to help guide the agency’s outreach efforts and help MDWFP meet its goals for recruiting, retaining, and reactivating customers (known as R3).

“As a part of our mission to conserve Mississippi’s natural resources, we aim to make it as easy as possible for customers to purchase licenses and permits — which directly support our conservation efforts,” said Lynn Posey, Executive Director, MDWFP. “We’re excited to partner with PayIt Outdoors to bring a truly modern and convenient experience to our customers, both in and out of the field.”

The new MDWFP system will offer customers a single digital platform for many services, including purchasing hunting and fishing licenses, reporting harvests, finding local events, and more. The platform will also include a new mobile app, which enables customers to submit game checks in the field, even when cellular connection is limited. MDWFP staff will also have access to insights and modules that simplify administrative processes and help them serve customers more effectively.

“Mississippi is a state blessed with tremendous fish and wildlife resources, and is something everyone should get a chance to experience,” said Chris Willard, PayIt’s Chief Customer Officer. “With this new licensing system, we will equip MDWFP staff and their customers with the services that make it that much easier to enjoy all that Mississippi has to offer — and, in turn, support MDWFP’s ongoing conservation work.”

Each year, MDWFP completes over 720,000 licensing and boat registration transactions, which directly support their conservation mission. Learn more about MDWFP’s efforts here.
