ExoDexa to Crowdsource Input on Adaptive Educational Gaming Platform Through Its Founders’ Circle

Educational gaming platform invites collaboration through a committed online community of people who yearn to fix the education system

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ExoDexa Holdings Inc., the developer of the ExoDexa® adaptive educational gaming platform, today announced the launch of its online community-building initiative to offer education through games. By joining the Founders’ Circle online community, parents and students will have the opportunity to share feedback on its game-based curriculum alongside Atari’s founder, Nolan Bushnell.

Lifetime membership in the Founders’ Circle community will initially cost just $1 for each new member. This initiative is an important step in building an engaged community to help ExoDexa design a 21st-century education model. In order for the platform to reach its potential, it is essential that students and their families have the access and input they want and deserve.

Founders’ Circle members receive:

  • Access to exclusive office hours with Nolan Bushnell: Members can attend members-only monthly video calls where they can directly share their educational ideas and concerns with Mr. Bushnell and inform the design of the ExoDexa educational gaming platform.
  • A 40% discount off a VIP 1-Year ExoDexa subscription: Includes access to ExoDexa’s educational platform featuring high-engagement gameplay and adaptive technology to drive K-12 education.
  • Early and discounted access to special events and contests.

The Founders’ Circle fee will initially be $1 to encourage all who are passionate about education to be a part of what we intend to build. Once the Founders’ Circle membership reaches a certain threshold, the Founders’ Circle membership fee may increase.

“We have learned that no two students are the same, so why are we still teaching them in a way that does not let the vast majority of them thrive?” asked Nolan Bushnell, executive chairman of ExoDexa. “We want students and their families to have a chance to tell us how they learn best, and this online community is our way of making it happen.”

According to UNICEF, over 600 million children and adolescents cannot reach minimum proficiency levels in reading and math, even though two-thirds of them are in school. A lack of trained teachers, inadequate education materials and poor infrastructure are part of what makes learning difficult for many students. The predominantly classroom-based model may not be able to keep pace with the rapidly emerging skills required to succeed in today’s workforce. Perhaps most importantly, students may learn best when actively engaged, at their own pace, while also having fun.

Each ExoDexa educational game is intended to play like a fun adventure rather than a vehicle for educational curricula. The ExoDexa educational gaming platform is designed to develop mastery of wide range of academic subjects. Using adaptive technology, the platform serves up simpler questions with helpful hints if the learner is not getting the concept to nurture an understanding of the material, and more complex questions to measure mastery for advanced learners. It also allows teachers and players to apply customized content in the games.

“ExoDexa is about more than just building a video game for students, it is about completely transforming the way they learn through gamification. We are looking to support alternatives to the traditional educational model with the input and support of our online community,” said Dr. Leah Hanes, chief executive officer of ExoDexa. “The Founders’ Circle is an exciting opportunity for students and parents to share their perspective of what works so that together we can offer a better approach.”
