Old Glory Bank announces its Old Glory Pay payment app has partnered with Code of Vets charity

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Old Glory Bank is proud to announce that Old Glory Pay is now accepted by Code of Vets to make donating easy, secure and private. Old Glory Pay users can go to the Code of Vets website, at www.codeofvets.com, to scan the Old Glory Pay QR code and easily make a donation to Code of Vets.

Old Glory Pay is Old Glory Bank’s proprietary, cancel free payment app that is an alternative to the “legacy” payment apps that have canceled certain customers and industries.

“We created Old Glory Pay as part of our promise to never cancel law-abiding customers for their beliefs or the industry they operate in,” explains Eric Ohlhausen, Co-founder of the bank and President of Old Glory Pay. He adds that customers of Old Glory Bank can send payments to other Old Glory Bank customers without their money ever leaving the Old Glory Bank financial eco-system. “That’s important because it means their funds never touch a third-party payment processor that could potentially cancel them or improperly share their transaction data.”

Old Glory Bank is an FDIC-insured, chartered bank that openly supports America, the flag, faith, freedom, patriotism, the military and first responders. Central to that commitment is the Bank’s Charitable Round-Up program. Customers can sign up for Charitable Round-Up in their Old Glory Bank App and every purchase made with their Old Glory Bank debit card is rounded up to the next dollar. Old Glory Bank sends 100% of the round-up amount to the selected charity. Customers can select either Code of Vets or Folds of Honor, with more charities coming soon.

Steve Paganucci, Old Glory Bank’s Chief of Staff and Old Glory Pay’s product lead, states that customers can also donate to Code of Vets directly through their Old Glory Pay app. “It’s easy. Simply scan the QR code or type “COV” to find Code of Vets in your app. “ He adds, “And because we don’t charge charities a transaction fee, one hundred percent of your donation goes to Code of Vets.”

Paganucci further adds “Old Glory Pay is the perfect payment solution for second amendment purchases. It’s private, secure, and distinctly apart from banks and payment processors who all too often seek to infringe our constitutional rights.”

Code of Vets is a non-profit organization based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It was founded by United States Air Force Veteran Gretchen Smith in honor of her father, Air Force Sgt. Danny E. Smiley, a Vietnam Veteran who was exposed to Agent Orange and died of PTSD at the age of 57. It gives immediate assistance to in-crisis, at-risk and in-need Veterans who have fallen through the cracks.

Old Glory Pay is available on both Apple and Android devices and is available only to Old Glory Bank customers. To open an account, go to www.oldglorybank.com.
