The JJIS, an integral part of Oregon's juvenile justice system, operates through a state-county partnership between OYA and county juvenile justice departments. The modernization initiative will bring forth a mobile-friendly, cloud-based solution designed to elevate user experiences, streamline youth services and bolster transparency for parents and caregivers.

The modernized JJIS platform will not only migrate the legacy system to the cloud but also introduce mobile device accessibility, real-time case status updates and advanced reporting capabilities. These enhancements align with stringent state and federal requirements, fortifying OYA's commitment to youth safety and rehabilitation.

Vice President of Public Sector, Health & Human Services at DMI Pankil Patel underscored the significance of this project stating, "Our track record of success in similar state programs equips us to deliver a system that will have a tangible impact on the lives of Oregon's youth. Technology should always empower — never hinder — their progress through the justice system."
