MONTCLAIR, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CIM Group announced today that it has signed a long-term lease with Main Event Entertainment to bring its signature family fun and event center to an approximately 51,802-square-foot space at Montclair Place, a 1.2 million-square-foot regional retail, restaurant and entertainment destination in the heart of Montclair, California.
Main Event will bring its full array of family entertainment, activities, music and food to Montclair Place for its first Southern California location with an estimated opening date in 2025. Main Event provides a lively atmosphere and memorable experience for the whole family, offering activities including 20 bowling lanes, laser tag, escape rooms, banquet rooms, private bowling lanes, and more. Guests also can enjoy Main Event’s restaurant menu which includes snacks, meals, sweets and a full bar. Main Event also offers private party spaces and birthday party packages tailored to kids of all ages. Founded in 1998, Main Event has more than 50 locations across the country and was acquired by Dave & Buster’s Entertainment, Inc. in 2022.
Main Event will be located on the ground floor below the AMC DINE-IN Montclair Place 12, which together occupy an approximately 134,000-square-foot, two-story building that CIM Group added to Montclair Place as part of its multi-phased program to revitalize the property and bring more entertainment options to the center.

CIM Group has made significant improvements and modifications to Montclair Place including the creation of the food hall, an interior modernization with new flooring, lighting and décor in a warm color palette, and the addition of communal gathering spaces including comfortable “living room” areas and family play spots. CIM Group has also completed significant façade improvements at the center and added a towering and artful monument sign for the property which maximizes its highly-visible location adjacent to the I-10 freeway, one of Southern California’s busiest corridors.
In addition to Main Event, as part of CIM Group’s re-imagining of Montclair Place and the entertainment experience, CIM Group also added attractions such as The Canyon, a popular live music venue that includes The Canyon Grill restaurant, Kids Empire, an 11,000-square-foot indoor playground and the AMC Dine-In Montclair Place 12.
