AM Best to Participate at Society of Actuaries’ ImpACT Annual Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best Director Doniella Pliss will participate in a four-person panel discussion on capital management in the rapidly changing health insurance industry at the upcoming Society of Actuaries ImpACT Annual Conference (SOA), which is scheduled for Oct. 22-25, 2023, in Indianapolis, IN.

Pliss will present during a session titled, “Do You Have Enough Spare Tires to Finish the Race? - RBC & Capital Management for Health Insurers.” The session is designed to explore potential updates to health insurance-related risk-based capital calculations, as well as ways health insurers can manage their capital and surplus levels. The session is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. (CDT) on Monday, Oct. 23. Pliss manages an analytical team that provides rating coverage for a diverse group of life/health insurers.
