Nursa CEO/Founder Curtis Anderson Named to Board of Directors for Utah Chapter of HIMSS

Salt Lake City entrepreneur to serve in leadership role, furthering nonprofit’s mission to advance and manage healthcare information and technology statewide

SALT LAKE CITY--()--Nursa, a nationwide platform that exists to put a nurse at the bedside of every patient in need, today announces its CEO and founder, Curtis Anderson, has been named to the board of directors of the Utah Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (UHIMSS).

Anderson joins the statewide leadership coalition for the advancement and management of healthcare information and technology as Sponsorship Chair. In this role, Anderson will lead the development and strategy for annual and event sponsorship plans and manage relationships with new and existing sponsors for UHIMSS until the end of his term in June 2024.

“It’s truly an honor to be selected to serve among like-minded leaders and innovators who share not only my passion for improving healthcare IT, but also my commitment to advancing improved patient outcomes and job satisfaction among the healthcare heroes of Utah,” said Anderson. “As the industry continues to evolve, I firmly believe that solutions and progress are guided by the collaborative spirit of those who are unafraid to face challenges with great hope and resolve.”

Anderson spoke at the UHIMSS fall conference, “Solving Healthcare Problems with Technology,” in September. The event showcased the latest advancements and solutions that are shaping healthcare communities within Utah and the nation at large.

For his panel, “Nurse Staffing and the Future of Safe Patient Care,” Anderson was joined by other world-class leaders to discuss how technology has become a crucial tool in streamlining processes, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the overall quality of care across the healthcare continuum.

“Curtis has incredible enthusiasm for the role technology plays in solving problems for the healthcare industry at large, and nurse clinicians in particular,” said Tarah Neujahr Bryan, incoming President-Elect for UHIMSS and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Health Catalyst. “He brings an infectious energy that will serve the Utah HIMSS board well as we work to deliver on our mission across the state.”

A graduate of Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management and operations, Anderson launched Nursa in 2019 in Salt Lake City as a digital marketplace solution that improves access to quality patient care by connecting facilities with nurses seeking flexible work. Nursa is a locally driven, national platform that partners with any organization that needs nurses to deliver the best patient care. By utilizing a real-time technology platform that enables facilities to fill shifts quickly and easily with qualified nurses from their community, Nursa has rapidly grown to be trusted by more than 1,300 facilities across 21 states and a nurse community that includes more than 95,000 nurse users.
