It was another steady month for the labor market, with no big post-summer surprises, according to the September 2023 Workforce Activity Report published by UKG. Shift work increased slightly by 0.1%, highlighting a remarkably consistent labor market and a “no news is great news” month as the job market remains employee friendly.
