Qosina Introduces RondelO™ Stopcock Manifolds

The RondelO is the world’s first medical stopcock manifold that provides a serial sequence of incompatible drugs and enables flushing fluid in between. These stopcock manifolds are available through Qosina in 2-, 4-, or 6-luer inlet ports with a through line for flushing fluid. Each luer port is ISO 80369-7 compliant.

The unique features of the RondelO are:

• Flushing fluid is available in all stopcock positions
• No other stopcock currently has this design or capability
• No need for a back check valve on secondary lines
• Any air can be expelled through a secondary line
• Automatic flushing when the stopcock remains in the same position
• Easy to back prime all infusion lines

RondelO can be used in the bioprocess industry for easy sampling, either manually or automatically from a bioreactor. Additional luer-to-barb connectors may be needed to attach tubing to the RondelO. The automation aspect streamlines the sampling process using only one motor turn with the RondelO handle. It also enables easy sampling from a bioreactor when a new sampling port can be used every time. By simply turning the handle to a position in between each sampling port, the internal volume can be rinsed prior to and/or after each sampling.
