Dr. Edwin Cevallos to give a keynote address on the occasion of High Level week during a side event for the United Nations General Assembly on September 18, 2023, Hosted by the Artemis Aspire Foundation

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dr. Edwin Cevallos, a nationally and internationally recognized Medical Oncologist, Chemo-radiotherapist, scientist, and researcher with expertise in immunology, is set to deliver a compelling keynote address during the UNGA on September 18, 2023. This prestigious event will be hosted by the esteemed Aspire Artemis Foundation and will focus on the enduring impacts of COVID-19 and the resilience of the human immune system.

The United Nations General Assembly serves as a platform for addressing critical global issues, and this keynote on COVID-19 and the strength of the immune system reflects the ongoing importance of pandemic-related concerns. The event will serve as a pre-cursor to allow for preparation and input by Member states for the continuing discussions around these very critical health-related issues that currently concern the minds of citizens globally as well as our ability to respond to and prepare for further health emergencies through strengthened immunity.

Dr. Cevallos's expertise in immunology and his significant contributions to the understanding of the human immune system make him a distinguished speaker for this timely event. His research, which spans over 50 years, has shed light on the intricate mechanisms of the immune system, including its response to infectious diseases like COVID-19. He is also the creator of BIRM, the first immunomodulator of natural origin and a proudly Ecuadorian product with international recognition. His life has been dedicated to research and immunotherapy. Also appearing after Dr. Cevallos’ speech will be South African Grammy award-winning singer Bakithi Kumalo to perform with children from The East End Arts Council music program and from the Kumalo band. Mr. Kumalo shows children how to make their own musical instruments and utilize music as a means of maintaining good mental health outcomes. Among his many credentials, he has also been the bass player for Paul Simon.
