Aperture Investors Announces the Appointment of James Keith (JK) Brown to Board of Directors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aperture Investors, LLC (Aperture) announced today the appointment of James Keith Brown to the Aperture Board of Directors, effective May 4, 2023.

JK is the former Senior Managing Director and Partner of Coatue Management, an American technology-focused investment manager. Previously, he was an Executive Managing Director and Global Head of Investor Relations as well as a Member of the Partner Management Committee, Executive Operating Committee, and Business Risk Committee at Och-Ziff Investment Management. Prior to joining Och-Ziff in 2003, Brown spent more than four years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Institutional Sales and Relationship Management.

JK is President of the Board of Trustees of the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York and also serves on the following boards: Head of Executive Committee, investment committee, and nominating committee of the Lincoln Center Theater; Board Member of the New School for Public Engagement; and Chair of Vera List Center for Art and Politics at the New School.

JK is actively involved with his alma mater – the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He serves as Chair Emeritus of the Ackland Art Museum's National Advisory Board and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Institute of the Arts and Humanities. He is an Advisory Board member at the Kenan Institute at North Carolina School of the Arts. JK also serves on the UNC Investment Board and UNC Foundation Board and is also Chair of the campus wide Arts Everywhere Campaign at UNC Chapel Hill.

JK holds a B.A. with honors in Psychology from University North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
