From Hearts to Hands: Volunteers Deliver School Supplies to Local Attica, IN Students

Corvias Team Honors Core Principle to Generously Give Back to the Community

LAFAYETTE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Corvias team at Purdue University volunteered their time on a recent Saturday to ensure children in their community will have school supplies to start the school year. First, they shopped for supplies and then gathered to assemble the backpacks. At Purdue University, which is known for its innovation and cutting-edge research, the award-winning Corvias team serves approximately 1,300 residents.

The team delivered nearly 50 backpacks that included notebooks, pencils, tissues, folders, and much more to Attica Elementary School in Attica, IN. The backpacks were distributed to students in kindergarten through fifth grade during registration.

Corvias CEO, Chris Wilson said, “For Corvias, supporting our communities is a testament to our commitment to creating positive change.” He added, “When we see our team members giving back, it’s a demonstration to not only their values, but the values and culture of our organization.”

Corvias is guided by its three core principles: to deliver the best customer service; to be the best place to work; and to generously give back to the community. To support being the best place to work and to encourage our employees to give back, Corvias offers VTIME, which allows employees to volunteer during the workday; paid time off when volunteering outside of work; and a two-for-one donation match to encourage employees to generously donate to those in need.

“We are so lucky to have a company that supports and enables us to contribute to the local community,” said Kimberly Alexander, Corvias Property Management Operations Director at Purdue University. “The team really enjoyed being together outside of work knowing they were helping young students.”

Corvias Property Management was awarded the SatisFacts “Community Award for 2022” for delivering exceptional student housing services at Purdue University. Corvias has one of the largest on-campus higher education partner portfolios in the U.S., serving nearly 20,000 students and providing services to 14 colleges and universities. At Purdue University, Corvias received an Exceptional Company Score of nearly 4.7 out of a 5.0 rating.
