USA TODAY NETWORK Ventures Announces 2023 High School Sports Awards Show

National show celebrates elite high school athletes, coaches and teams across the country

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) announced today the 2023 USA TODAY High School Sports Awards national show, debuting a new podcast-style talk show format. The national show premiers on Sunday, July 30 at 8 p.m. ET on the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards website. USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country, honors the top athletic accomplishments of over 40 athletes in 18 sports categories – baseball, softball, track & field, volleyball, lacrosse, field hockey, cross country, golf, bowling, soccer, hockey, gymnastics, wrestling, basketball, football, flag football, swimming & diving and tennis. National nominees are selected through statistical analysis, game coverage and coach and athletic director feedback.

This year’s show brings together sports experts across the USA TODAY Network including USA TODAY Sports Columnist Christine Brennan, who serves as emcee alongside co-hosts Ryan O’Leary, USA TODAY Ventures Content Manager, Barrett Fontana, USA TODAY Ventures Content and Athlete Operations Specialist and Cydney Henderson, USA TODAY Sports NOW Reporter.
