DQ and Shawn Johnson East Partner to Rally Fan Support for Miracle Treat Day

On July 27, DQ Fans Can Help Raise Funds for Local Children’s Hospitals by Purchasing a Blizzard® Treat

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ), a leader in iconic treats and food, today announced that fans can make their stop at their local DQ restaurant more meaningful with the return of Miracle Treat Day®. On July 27, the one-day initiative helps raise critical funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. Entrepreneur, mom and gymnast Shawn Johnson East is also supporting the cause by encouraging fans to participate and help children across the country.

On Miracle Treat Day, when fans order their favorite Blizzard Treat at participating U.S. DQ locations, $1 or more will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to benefit local children’s hospitals – a longtime charitable DQ sponsorship. The DQ brand has partnered with CMN Hospitals for 39 years, and the DQ system across the U.S. and Canada has donated more than $175 million to children’s hospitals to date.

Shawn Johnson East wants children to receive the support they need through this initiative. “As a mother of two, Miracle Treat Day holds a special place in my heart as it allows us to help raise funds and provide support to children who need it the most,” said East. “Fans can enjoy a delicious treat and support children in their communities by simply buying a Blizzard Treat on Miracle Treat Day.”
