ARC Church’s Dino Rizzo Sits Down with Davey Blackburn in UNSCRIPTED

Dino Rizzo, the executive director of ARC (Association of Related Churches), sat down with Davey Blackburn of Nothing is Wasted Ministry for the latest episode of the organization’s web series UNSCRIPTED.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ARC Church’s Dino Rizzo sat down with Davey Blackburn of Nothing is Wasted Ministry for the sixth episode of the second season of the organization’s well-received web series, UNSCRIPTED.

In this series, Dino Rizzo -- the executive director of ARC (Association of Related Churches) -- visits with tremendous church pastors and leaders from around the world for honest conversations. These people are all giving their lives in the name of service, hoping to make a difference in their local communities by spreading the word of Jesus Christ.

In the sixth episode, Dino Rizzo talks with Blackburn, the founder of Nothing is Wasted Ministry, who’s also a podcaster, speaker, author, and coach. His redemption story is one of healing, purpose, and forgiveness.

Blackburn and his wife of seven years moved to Indianapolis in 2015 to plant a church. Four years later, while pregnant, she was murdered during a break-in at their home.

With his new wife, Kristi, and their three children, the Blackburns are devoted to trying to help others find similar redemption in their own stories and come up with a purpose in the pain they’re suffering from.

In addition to exploring this story, Dino Rizzo and Blackburn talk about the deep pain he suffered and how God is using his ministry.

Other topics they discussed include how to sort through rage, release bitterness, and how he forgave his wife’s murderers; how to stop responding from a false filter based on trauma to rewire your neural pathways to a narrative written by God; how to live your life for now as Plan A and not look at it as Plan B; and the redemptive purpose God provides through pain.

UNSCRIPTED is a series of raw, real discussions about everything from relationships to leadership, struggles, and ARC church planting. Every episode is a completely honest, unscripted conversation between Dino Rizzo and his esteemed guests.

The first series of UNSCRIPTED was so successful that it convinced ARC Churches to move forward with a second season so they could meet with even more impactful leaders and pastors.

The web series helps expand the overall mission of ARC (Association of Related Churches) to support independent churches around the country in spreading the word of Jesus.

ARC provides the support these new church planters need to survive and thrive. More information on ARC (Association of Related Churches) can be found on its website, arcchurches.com.
