TuxCare’s KernelCare Enterprise Now Supports Red Hat EUS Kernels

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TuxCare, a global innovator in enterprise-grade cybersecurity for Linux, today announced that its KernelCare Enterprise, now supports Red Hat Extended Update Support (EUS) kernels.

Extending the unmatched coverage of TuxCare's live patching solution, this new development enables organizations to further enhance security and minimize vulnerability exposure across their Linux systems. KernelCare Enterprise delivers automated live patching for all popular enterprise Linux distributions, uniquely eliminating the need for reboots, downtime, or scheduled maintenance windows.

As an optional offering for Red Hat Enterprise Linux subscribers, Red Hat EUS allows customers to maintain the same minor release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux for an extended period, typically ranging from 24 to 48 months. With EUS, customers receive backports of Critical and Important impact security updates and urgent-priority bug fixes for a predefined set of minor releases of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Such stability enables organizations to create reliable production environments for their mission-critical applications.

EUS subscriptions are commonly purchased for a subset of enterprise systems that have complex configurations or dependencies, making frequent upgrades challenging. Highly sensitive to changes, the systems require a careful approach to maintenance and patch management. Until now, customers with EUS systems who sought to benefit from TuxCare's leading live patching capabilities used alternative solutions, resulting in fragmented security patching management. Today’s release extends coverage to include Red Hat EUS kernels, providing customers with a single centralized solution.

“TuxCare is dedicated to delivering an unrivaled customer experience,” said Jim Jackson, President and Chief Revenue Officer at TuxCare. “Today’s announcement illustrates our commitment to listening to customers’ needs and expanding our coverage of Linux distributions and kernels to provide organizations dramatically reduced vulnerability exposures while also driving increased efficiencies across their entire Linux estate."
