Windy City Field Hockey Club Joins 3STEP Sports Field Hockey Further Accelerating 3STEP’s Stellar Field Hockey Athlete Offering

ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--3STEP Sports, the nation’s largest and most impactful youth sports club and event operator, has acquired Windy City Field Hockey Club, adding the nationally known club to the field hockey vertical.

Founded in 1991, Windy City is the Chicago area’s oldest and largest field hockey club, emphasizing excellence through the development of individual skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. The club provides programs and teams for all levels of players from five-year-old beginners to elite college aged athletes.

At the helm is Katie Beach, one of the most highly decorated athletes in U.S. field hockey history. A member of Team USA from 1994 – 2004, Beach took over the Windy City program in 2011 and now leads one of the most profound programs in the country.

In addition to being recognized as USA Field Hockey’s 2018 “Club of the Year,” over 300 Windy City athletes have moved on to play collegiate field hockey since Beach took over 12 years ago.
