Steves & Sons Mourns the Loss of Jim Parker, Chief Engineer

“This was the day that Superman died”

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Steves & Sons is deeply saddened to announce the loss of our team member and dedicated friend Jim Parker on May 26th. Jim was a beloved member of our Steves & Sons family, and a true force of nature in our industry. “This was the day that Superman died,” said Tres Steves, vice president and general manager. Throughout his 23-year career with Steves, Jim exemplified leadership, can-do attitude, fierce loyalty and an unparalleled expertise in a wide range of fields. His legacy will continue to be remembered for generations to come.

As part of his professional achievements, Jim was an exhaustive advocate for engineering solutions and equipment designed to enhance every element of our manufacturing processes. Jim was responsible for updating the design and then construction of all of our state-of-the-art door plants in Virginia, Tennessee, Texas and most recently in Brigham City, Utah. Jim’s contributions to Steves & Sons went well beyond engineering. He was a true Steves patriot who has made a lasting impact on countless Steves customers, suppliers, team members and our family! His spirit of full-throttled energy and dedication to all things “Jim-gineered” will be sorely missed.

We extend our deepest condolences to Jim’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn his loss. We intend to commemorate his life and take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will continue to inspire us all. We understand that early this week his family will be formalizing his celebration of life service arrangements, with details to be announced.
