Media Advisory: Red River Bank and FHLB Dallas to Award $750K in Affordable Housing Funds to The Salvation Army of Central Louisiana

ALEXANDRIA, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Red River Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will present $750,000 in Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funds to The Salvation Army of Central Louisiana (The Salvation Army CENLA) to build a multifamily homeless shelter and support facility in Alexandria, Louisiana.

The media is encouraged to attend the ceremonial check presentation at the Red River Bank offices, which will include representatives from Red River Bank, FHLB Dallas and The Salvation Army CENLA.

The funding will assist The Salvation Army CENLA in developing 32 rental units, including four apartments for families. The facility will include 1,665 square feet of shared space for a commercial kitchen, dining room, classrooms for empowerment programs, a laundry room and administrative offices. The estimated construction completion date for the $5.7 million project is July 2023.
