Particle Health Appoints Jason Prestinario as CEO to Scale Reach and Clinical Impact

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Particle Health, an interoperability platform that aggregates and delivers actionable patient data and insights to healthcare companies, today announced that it has appointed Jason Prestinario as the company’s next CEO, effective May 15, 2023. Troy Bannister, founder and current CEO, will continue with Particle as Chief Strategy Officer, where he will spearhead product innovation.

“Our board is pleased to introduce Jason Prestinario as Particle Health’s next CEO,” said Greg Yap, Partner at Menlo Ventures. “Jason's impressive track record of driving business growth and technical innovation makes him an excellent choice to lead Particle's next stage. His strategic focus, operational effectiveness, and technological expertise will help expand the reach and clinical impact of the Particle platform. We also look forward to Troy Bannister’s continued leadership at Particle - his vision, passion, and dedication has helped make Particle an innovative leader in improving healthcare data interoperability.”

Jason joins Particle from Komodo Health, where he served as the general manager of the company’s Healthcare Solutions Business Unit and led the expansion of its data platform to reach the wider healthcare ecosystem including payers and providers. As an engineer-turned-operator, he started at Komodo as Head of Data Science and was appointed to product engineering leadership positions where he was instrumental in building and launching Prism and Sentinel, two of Komodo's most dominant products. Prior to his time at Komodo, Jason was at Palantir Technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

"Particle Health has revolutionized how healthcare data is accessed and exchanged," shared Jason. "As someone who is deeply passionate about driving better patient outcomes, I found my calling scaling healthcare data companies. I'm excited to join Particle during this period of rapid growth and eager to push us further and faster. By extending the reach of Particle's industry-leading bidirectional data exchange and removing the friction in sharing critical health data, Particle will unlock a healthier future.”

Particle’s mission is evolving from enabling simple and secure access to actionable healthcare data to that of building a category-leading platform that allows their customers to integrate and analyze their data to solve their most urgent problems. Particle’s Platform curates a comprehensive, transparent and longitudinal patient profile that helps serve a multitude of markets and use cases, all with the intention of positively impacting patient outcomes. Impactful use cases include onboarding new patients to ensure proper care journeys, reducing duplicative testing and procedures to decrease cost of care, and improving patient outcomes by preventing comorbidities and disease progression by helping clinicians address issues early and seamlessly.

“I’m really proud of how much Particle has accomplished over the last five years as we’ve executed on our mission to dramatically improve lives by enabling secure access to vital medical data,” said Troy. “As we transition to the next phase of growth, the Board and I believe that Jason, with his significant data science and healthcare leadership background, is well positioned to steer the organization throughout this process. I welcome him to the team and look forward to working together.”
