Westinghouse Releases Inaugural Sustainability Report

Company is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Westinghouse Electric Company released its inaugural Sustainability Report today. This report highlights our work to deliver clean energy technology globally, protect the environment, embed sustainability throughout our business and invest in our employees and communities across the world.

In 2022, Westinghouse took significant actions to drive a sustainable future for both our own operations and for the global clean energy transition. The report outlines key initiatives and achievements for 2022 across clean energy deployment, environmental stewardship, diversity, equity and inclusion, safety, corporate governance and other priority areas. Highlights include:

  • Established 2050 target for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Powered 25% of total U.S. clean energy production with nuclear fuel technology.
  • Achieved 27% decrease in Scope 1 & 2 Emissions since baseline year of 2019.
