Honigman Welcomes Back Robert Palmersheim as Partner in Chicago Office

Also joining the firm is skilled commercial disputes attorney Timothy Parilla

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Honigman LLP announced today that Robert Palmersheim has returned to its Chicago office after serving as a founding partner at Palmersheim & Mathew LLP for over four years. He joins Honigman as a partner in the firm’s Litigation practice.

Prior to founding his own law firm, Palmersheim was a partner at Honigman for nearly four years. Joining him is Associate Timothy Parilla, who has worked alongside Palmersheim since 2019.

"Robert has always been an invaluable member of the Honigman family, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have him return after his successful venture of running his own boutique law firm in Chicago,” said Honigman CEO and Chair David Foltyn. “We are also pleased to welcome his associate Tim Parilla and are excited to see what new insights and perspectives they will bring to the firm.”

“After starting my own law firm, I continued to work with Honigman on several matters, including a substantial plaintiffs’ antitrust lawsuit that we settled last year,” said Palmersheim. “The firm’s dedication to its client service is unmatched, and I am honored to have the opportunity to return and collaborate with such talented colleagues once again. I look forward to the great work and results we will continue to achieve together.”

Palmersheim joins Honigman after a distinguished career spanning more than two decades, during which he has earned a reputation as a tenacious and skilled litigator. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including matters related to antitrust, professional and fiduciary liability, M&A disputes, and intellectual property. He has been lead counsel in numerous antitrust litigations and successfully represented clients across the consumer products, financial services, and manufacturing industries. As a result of his renowned efforts, BTI Consulting Group named him a Client Service All-Star in the area of antitrust counseling and litigation, a distinction given to an elite group of 300 attorneys recognized by the Fortune 1000 for leading the field. He is also consistently recognized as an Illinois ‘Super Lawyer.’

Parilla, who is joining Honigman as an Associate, has experience serving clients in complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, product liability, antitrust, and construction litigation. Before joining Palmersheim in 2019, Parilla worked at a nationally known aviation and construction litigation firm in Chicago where he represented architects, engineers, manufacturers, and other professionals accused of breaching their standards of care.
