Motus Energy Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Motus Energy LLC (“Motus”) today announced it has added industry veteran Daniel Westmoreland as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. In his new role, Mr. Westmoreland is responsible for all financial functions of the company including capital sourcing, financial analysis and the evaluation and structuring of potential corporate transactions as the company continues to grow its terminal operations along the Gulf Coast.

Mr. Westmoreland comes to Motus with more than 20 years of financial analysis and planning experience. Prior to Motus, he worked at Howard Energy Partners (Howard) most recently serving as Senior Director of Financial Planning, Analysis and Special Projects. He also worked in a variety of other leadership roles at Howard, including corporate development, greenfield project budget oversight, and private placement debt syndication and administration. Previously he worked at several private equity and venture capital firms. He began his career at Deloitte as an auditor and as a Sarbanes-Oxley compliance consultant for public and private companies across an array of industries.

Motus Energy currently operates two terminals, Motus T1 and Motus T2, strategically located in the Port of Brownsville, Texas, allowing for increased movement of commodities between the United States, Mexico and other international markets. The facilities have a combined storage capacity of more than 900,000 barrels, with additional expansions underway.
