WHO: Gerry Gebel is Head of Standards for Strata Identity. He has over 20 years of experience in requirements definition, architecture development, and strategic planning for identity management projects with Fortune 500 corporations. Gerry has been a senior executive with Axiomatics, a global provider of access control solutions, and served as Vice President and Service Director with research firm Burton Group for nearly a decade. WHAT: The use of multiple clouds is accelerating across all industries. This has created some significant new challenges, especially when it comes to managing access policies, which are platform-specific and proprietary due to the syntax used by each cloud service provider. This policy fragmentation creates security and risk gaps, making it difficult to determine who has access to what.
