BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Astadia, the leading mainframe to cloud migration and modernization company, announces the expansion of its executive team to include Alfredo Iglesias, who will serve as the organization’s new Vice President of Market Development. This latest strategic hire adds even more depth to the company’s roster of mainframe technology experts and extends their reach further into financial services and global markets.
Iglesias joins Astadia after a highly successful tenure at Microsoft, where he specialized in mainframe to cloud migration before shifting to a business development role in the financial services vertical. Prior to that, he served in a variety of roles at global systems integrators including Atos, NTT DATA Services, and Dell.
All told, Iglesias has spent over 20 years in the technology industry. His expertise in mainframe modernization runs deep. Early in his career, he focused on modernizing VAX/VMS COBOL financial systems. Since then, Iglesias has continued to hone his talents across various roles that include business development, technology evangelization, and strategic client management.
“Alfredo Iglesias offers a valuable mix of skills, combining enterprise sales and business development with hands-on proficiency in mainframe technology,” said Scott G. Silk, Chairman and CEO of Astadia. “Alfredo has truly walked the walk. He has the credibility and depth necessary to engage with Astadia’s clients and influence their strategic modernization decisions.”
Alfredo holds a degree in Nuclear Chemical Engineering from the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, in Moscow, and is fluent in English, Spanish, Russian, German, and Portuguese. Alfredo’s multicultural background has been a valuable asset as he has engaged with clients across a wide range of industry verticals in North America, Latin America, and EMEA.
