Keter Environmental Services Appoints Chris Rains as COO

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Keter Environmental Services (“Keter”), a recycling and waste management company focused on providing data-driven waste program solutions, has announced the appointment of Chris Rains as Chief Operations Officer.

Mr. Rains joins Keter from United States Steel Corporation where he most recently served as Vice President of Sales and was responsible for all aspects of the commercial strategy, business development, and sales operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in the environmental services industry, including at Republic Services and its predecessors where he served in various operations and sales positions of increasing responsibility, including VP of Customer Experience, Area President, and VP of Sales.

“We are pleased to have Chris join us in our efforts to enhance Keter’s service offerings for our clients,” said Kevin Dice, Keter CEO. “Given his breadth of experience in various customer-facing functions, Chris brings a unique perspective to the COO role. His background will serve our clients well as we continue to build on our momentum to become the most trusted recycling and waste partner in the industry.”

“I am thrilled to be joining Keter during a time of significant growth for the company,” said Mr. Rains. “There is a real need in the marketplace for partners that can help organizations achieve their sustainability goals, and I believe Keter is uniquely positioned to be that trusted partner. Keter’s customer-centric focus and data-driven process help create win-win solutions that drive zero waste to landfills. I look forward to partnering with Kevin and the team to strengthen our customer-first culture and ensure we create long-lasting, healthy partnerships with our current and future clients.”

Keter’s current COO, Brian Walls, will remain with Keter and transition to Chief Operations Support Officer, a newly formed role, to lead Keter’s strategic data, reporting, and information technology initiatives. As the industry continues to adopt a data-forward approach, Keter will reinforce its efforts with new enhancements in its proprietary sustainability application, eTrac, to enable clients with a single location for verifiable data insights into the performance of their recycling and waste program operations.

Mr. Rains joins as COO at a time of tremendous growth and opportunity for Keter. With a prominent focus on expansion expected in the coming years, his experience will serve the organization well as it continues to invest in its future and diversify its service offerings to meet clients’ needs.
