CHICAGO--()--Blueair, a global leader in indoor air purification solutions, announced today the launch of its Blue Pure Max line of air purifiers. Building on the award-winning Blue Pure Auto family of air purifiers, the new models feature enhanced performance, minimal noise, a refreshed design, and new smart features through the Blueair app. These easy-to-use air purifiers can clean the air in rooms up to 1,524 square feet in as little as 30 minutes depending on the size of the model.

“The Blueair Blue Pure Max line was thoughtfully designed to be fast, quiet, and simply smart, a feat accomplished by the merging form and function,” said Henk in ’t Hof, CEO of Blueair. “Consumers can feel reassured and comfortable that they, and their families, are breathing in clean air at home thanks to Blueair’s innovative technology and Swedish design.”

Blueair’s proprietary HEPASilent™ technology combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration to capture at least 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.1 micron in size2. Even tiny particles, such as viruses and bacteria, are captured, along with larger household particles such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke. For an added layer of protection, the fabric pre-filter on each unit catches larger particles, extending the life of the main filter. Blueair’s HEPASilent™ technology delivers clean air faster and more quietly than traditional HEPA filtration alone 3 so clean air circulates quickly without any disturbances. Users can enjoy air that is clean of pollutants, allergens, and odors for a more comfortable home.

Key features and upgrades include:

  • Maximum Filtration 3, Minimum Noise4: Performance is enhanced in Blue Pure Max models by redesigning the hole patterns to improve the airflow for even faster cleaning. Blue Pure Max models offer a higher Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) with the ability to filter out more smoke, dust, and pollen in cubic feet per minute than its predecessor. And they are equipped with a built-in noise shield, meaning the air purifiers can clean at the highest fan speed with lower noise, for uninterrupted days and nights. In fact, Blue Pure Max air purifiers are QuietMark certified as one of the quietest, least intrusive air purifiers on the market.
  • Swedish Design For Any Home Aesthetic: The enhanced tapered shape appears tall and sleek, and the new shades of fabric pre-filters are warm and muted to seamlessly blend into any home’s style. The air purifier arrives with one Stockholm Fog pre-filter. Additional pre-filters in the colors Limestone, Moss and Sand are sold separately. The new pre-filters are made of a technical knitted fabric, which lends to improved airflow, resulting in faster purification. Just vacuum the pre-filter or put it in the washing machine when it needs cleaning.
  • Simply Smart 5: Via the Blueair app, consumers can access air quality data and features to make life easier. It allows users to select the preferred mode, set a schedule, use child lock features, and more, offering reassurance and convenience for modern consumers. When air quality deteriorates, the Clean Air ETA function shares the estimated minutes until the air in the room will be clean. While at home, use voice control with Amazon Alexa for hands-free convenience to adjust fan speed or mode. For those who travel often, the Welcome Home feature sets the air purifier on standby when the user leaves and turns the air purifier back on as they approach home. In addition, users can also now view the exact filter usage percentage and pollution level thanks to Blueair's proprietary filter RealTrack algorithm.
  • Set It and Forget It: Having an air purifier doesn’t have to be high maintenance. Blueair’s Auto mode will adjust the fan speed by itself based on real-time pollution levels.

Many of the new models include an intuitive two-button control making it simple and convenient to select one of the four fan speeds, including Night Mode which sets the unit at the lowest fan speed and fully dims the lights for a peaceful night of rest. The five-color air quality indicator (AQI) allows consumers to easily understand the status of their indoor air quality with a single glance – blue for excellent, green for good, yellow for moderate, orange for polluted and red for very polluted. The 211i Max includes a premium LED touch display that controls power, fan speed, particle level readings, Auto/Night Modes, and filter reminders.

Blueair Blue Pure Max air purifiers will be available on Amazon and Blueair.com later this month with other select retailers to follow.

  • Blue Pure 411a Max ($139): for rooms 219-526 square feet*
  • Blue Pure 411i Max ($169): for rooms 219-526 square feet*
  • Blue Pure 311i Max ($229): for rooms 387-929 square feet*
  • Blue Pure 311i+ Max ($299): for rooms 465-1,116 square feet*
  • Blue Pure 211i Max ($349): for rooms 635-1,524 square feet*

Blueair is committed to delivering best-in-class products and values third-party testing and certification. Each Blue Pure Max air purifier model is independently evaluated for performance by the AHAM Verifide program that confirms performance testing results for air purifiers are accurate and impartial across some of the most common pollutants - tobacco smoke, dust, and pollen. In addition, Blueair air purifiers are designed to reduce impact on the environment and meet the stringent standards of ENERGY STAR’s Most Efficient program certification. Each Blueair air purifier model also uses less energy than a lightbulb 6. Additionally, Blueair air purifiers meet CARB ozone emission limits and are certified for Zero Ozone emissions by Intertek.

For consumers looking to simplify the upkeep of their new air purifiers, Blueair’s filter subscription program auto-ships fresh filters at a 15% discounted rate. Simply sign up on Blueair.com or via the Blueair app to subscribe and save on air filters delivered right when you need them.

1 Comparing pollen CADR on high fan speed (Blue Pure 411a Max & 411i Max vs. Blue 411 Auto), other units may vary. Based on AHAM maximum allowable certified rating which may vary from the AHAM seal claimed valued.

2 Based on removal testing of PM 2.5 (0.1 - 2.5 microns) and germs (H1N1, E.coli) up to 90min in a 30m3 room. Performance may vary. Not all Blueair air purifiers have been tested against SARS-CoV-2 and Blueair does not claim to kill/prevent transmission of COVID-19.

3 When similar CADR was measured, Blueair models with mechanical and electrostatic filtration achieved less noise with less energy than same models with only H13 HEPA mechanical filtration.

4 When similar CADR was measured, Blueair models with mechanical and electrostatic filtration achieved less noise with less energy than same models with only H13 HEPA mechanical filtration. Noise refers to the dB(A) difference in acoustic power.

5 These features are available on the 411i Max, 311i Max, 311i+ Max, and 211i Max.

* On highest fan speed. CADR based on AHAM AC-1. According to AHAM air changes per hour (ACH) is the measure of the outside air volume added to a space divided by the volume of that space over a set amount of time.
