Red Bison Names Rob Tiffany as Managing Director, Edge Compute

Noted Industry Thought Leader Will Expand Edge Compute Business

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Red Bison, a leading prop-tech and managed services company, today announced that Rob Tiffany is joining the company as Managing Director, Edge Compute. In this role, Tiffany will work with customers to identify new opportunities to monetize the edge compute capabilities of Red Bison’s in-building network, further expanding use cases for the building and tenants.

“Rob’s leadership of this growth area for the company will elevate our edge compute solution, and strengthen our partnership with Commercial Real Estate owners by identifying new services that ride on their in-building network and tapping new revenue opportunities,” said Mike Rubel, CEO of Red Bison. “By deploying an integrated high-speed network with edge compute capabilities, Red Bison greatly reduces operating costs and latency issues for property owners, while enhancing data storage security.”

A best-selling author, speaker, and contributor to technology industry publications, Rob previously founded Digital Insights, a strategic advisory consulting firm. He also held positions as Head of IoT Strategy at Ericsson, Chief Technology Officer at Hitachi, and Global Technology Lead for the Azure IoT cloud platform at Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Rob co-founded NetPreceptor, developing one of the industry’s earliest Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platforms for smartphones. He is routinely ranked as one of the top IoT and Digital Twin influencers by major business publications.

“Edge compute represents a relatively undeveloped capability for building owners to offer new services that create a point of differentiation to attract and retain tenants,” said Tiffany. “I’m looking forward to extending Red Bison’s reputation for high-quality and reliable network design and implementation to this business area.”
