Jan Zuurbier Returns to Swisslog Healthcare as General Manager of the Medication Management Division

BROOMFIELD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Swisslog Healthcare, a leading supplier in pharmacy and transport automation solutions, has appointed Jan Zuurbier as its new General Manager of the Medication Management division effective January 1, 2023. Zuurbier will drive the strategy and execution of organizational goals for the division.

The Medication Management division of Swisslog Healthcare enables healthcare facilities in North America, EMEA and APAC to automate and manage pharmaceutical workflow, including preparation, patient-specific dosing, delivery, and storage. Swisslog Healthcare delivers operational cost reduction by enabling the redeployment of personnel to patient-facing activities. Zuurbier will assess the markets and dive deeply into the Swisslog Healthcare product portfolio to ensure the continued delivery of quality for customers and their users.

Zuurbier has 30 years of international business experience in various industries, such as information and communications technology, telecommunications, venture capital, and healthcare. When previously a part of the Swisslog Healthcare team, Zuurbier served as the Head of Business Development from 2019-2021. He played a significant role in operational excellence and change management projects for EMEA & APAC and supported in executing strategic projects. Additionally, Zuurbier is experienced in general management, commercial, strategy, and operational leadership roles for large and mid-size corporations, such as AT&T, Twinning Corporation, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE), and DIH. Zuurbier most recently worked with VMI, where he was leading the Pharma unit.

Based in Switzerland, Zuurbier has lived and worked in several countries, including the US, the Middle East, China, and Europe.
