Expensify.org Adds the Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) Recipients to its Grocery & Vaccinated Reimbursement Program

The “SNAP-WIC-VAX” campaign reimburses SNAP/EBT/WIC grocery purchases up to $50 and gives an additional $50 to those who SmartScan their COVID-19 vaccination card

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Expensify.org, a charity founded by the payments superapp Expensify, is expanding its SNAP-VAX reimbursement campaign to include recipients of WIC, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Anyone who uses their WIC/SNAP/EBT cards for groceries will get reimbursed up to $50 and receive an additional $50 for providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination. As long as the grocery receipt and vaccination card are dated July 1, 2022 or later, Expensify.org will reimburse those who are eligible with up to $100.

"Our food assistance campaigns have been very successful in giving around 6,000 families additional support during these difficult financial times," says Stefanie Stavri, Treasurer of Expensify.org. "Adding WIC recipients to our program is a perfect fit so we can support more people in communities experiencing food insecurity and progress our mission to eliminate social injustice.”

The “SNAP-WIC-VAX” campaign requires a US deposit bank account for reimbursement and is open to anyone currently approved for SNAP/EBT/WIC benefits. This campaign is applicable to those who haven’t participated in Expensify.org’s previous SNAP reimbursement campaign.
