FFL Promotes Jonathon Bunt and Karen Winterhof to Partner

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FFL Partners (“FFL”), a private equity firm focused on growth investments in Healthcare and Tech-Enabled Services businesses, today announced the promotions of Jonathon (“Jon”) Bunt and Karen Winterhof to Partner.

“Through these promotions, we are thrilled to recognize the invaluable contributions that Jon and Karen have made to our team’s success,” said Cas Schneller, Managing Partner at FFL. “Both have played instrumental roles across the full investment lifecycle from sourcing to portfolio management to exit, and we look forward to seeing them continue to shine as investors at FFL.”

“Jon and Karen bring highly complementary experience and skillsets to FFL, and their promotions reflect the continued evolution of talent at FFL, founded 25 years ago,” added Chris Harris, Managing Partner. “In addition to their investment roles, both have helped shape our culture and are great mentors for our fast-growing team.”

Jon Bunt joined FFL in 2017 as a Vice President and specializes in Tech-Enabled Services investments, including leading FFL’s investments in Abacus Group and Optomi Professional Services. Before joining FFL, Bunt held leadership roles at GuideSpark, an enterprise software-as-a-service business, and byUs.com, a consumer services software company. He started his career in the private equity group at Goldman Sachs and worked at Berkshire Partners prior to attending Harvard Business School. Bunt currently serves on the Board of Directors for Abacus Group, ALKU, Optomi Professional Services and ProService and previously served on the Boards of Accordion Partners and Velocity Global.

“I found the perfect home for my operating and financial background at FFL,” said Bunt. “Not only do I get to invest behind exciting, growing companies and partner with strong founders and management teams, but I get to be part of a firm with an exceptionally strong culture that is always looking to improve its investing and operating approach.”

Karen Winterhof joined FFL in 2015 as a Senior Associate and focuses on the firm’s Healthcare Services investments. Most recently, she led the firm’s investment in One Senior Care, a provider of all-inclusive care for the elderly, where she sits on the Board of Directors. Winterhof is also a Director of New Look Vision Group, U.S. Orthopedic Partners, and Orthodontic Partners. She previously served on the Boards of EyeCare Partners and Crisis Prevention Institute. Prior to FFL, Winterhof worked at Highbridge Principal Strategies, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, and Morgan Stanley.

“I feel very fortunate to have built my private equity career at FFL over the past seven years,” said Winterhof. “The firm is incredibly collaborative and made a real commitment to my professional development from the day I joined. I look forward to many more years as part of the team.”
