Magnit Appoints Salesforce Alum Mohan Natarajan as Company’s First CTO

Natarajan to lead the development of technologies that will define the evolution of work

BURLINGAME, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Magnit, an Integrated Workforce Management (IWM) platform provider, today announced that Mohan Natarajan has joined the company as its first chief technology officer (CTO). In this role, Natarajan will lead Magnit’s engineering teams as they design and deliver forward-looking solutions that will optimize contingent workforce management for organizations worldwide.

“Mohan’s tenure in the industry reflects an ongoing pursuit of progress and excellence that aligns with our own,” said Kevin Akeroyd, CEO of Magnit. “He has a unique ability to keep his finger on the pulse of the business landscape, identifying the sectors most ripe for innovation. He’s also an exemplary leader who encourages his teams to take calculated risks, recognizes the individuality of each team member, and prioritizes building a culture of support and acceptance. We’re thrilled that he has chosen to apply his unparalleled expertise in engineering and leadership to help us and our clients navigate the evolution of work.”

Natarajan has spent over 20 years innovating technologies at some of the world’s most prominent brands. Prior to joining Magnit’s team, he spent seven years at Salesforce where he rose to the position of senior vice president of Engineering. Natarajan also held leadership roles at Motorola, Cisco Systems and Silicon Graphics, among others. At each of these companies, he put technology in the forefront to drive their organization into the future.

“Throughout my career, I’ve made an effort to be at the center of business’ next big transformation, and that’s what brought me to Magnit at this pivotal moment,” said Natarajan. “I’ve had first-hand experience managing contingent workers, and I can say with authority that developing newer, better, more integrated solutions will be crucial as the non-traditional labor market grows. I’m excited for the opportunity to design those solutions, cement Magnit’s place as a global leader in the field and help define the next era of work.”

Natarajan’s appointment to the position of CTO comes shortly after the company’s extensive rebrand. A long-time leader in contingent workforce management, Magnit is guided by its ongoing mission to making it faster, easier and more scalable to plan, attract, and manage the best and diverse talent anywhere in the world. As the demand for more flexible, agile workforces continues to grow, the company delivers modern software, proven expertise and world-class data and talent intelligence to businesses looking to reimagine the way they build and manage teams.
