200 Attend Fasano Longevity Conference Focused on Longevity, Medical Research and Politics

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--200 longevity professionals attended the November 7th Fasano Longevity Conference in Washington, DC. The Conference, which was in hybrid format, with about 170 attending in person and 30 attending virtually, focused on a wide range of topics bearing on longevity markets, medical research and the mid-term elections.

The Conference opened with an incisive analysis of the momentum swings leading up to the mid-term elections by keynote speaker, Amy Walter, Editor-in-Chief of the Cook Political Report. Ms. Walter was followed by Jay Jackson, CEO of Abacus Life Settlements, who shared his insights as to what would be needed to bring the Life Settlement Market to its full growth potential.

The morning sessions ended with two cutting edge, research presentations: The Use of “Dancing Molecules” to Reverse Paralysis after Spinal Cord Injuries by Dr. Samuel Stupp, Founding Director of Northwestern University’s Center for Regenerative Nanomedicine, and a Novel Approach to Extending Human Healthspan by Dr. Douglas Vaughan, Director of the Potocsnak Longevity Institute.

The afternoon sessions included presentations on the Structured Settlement Market by DRB Capital CEO, Jason Sutherland, and on the Index-Based Risk Transfer Market by Avery Michaelson, CEO of the Longitude Exchange, as well as a Private Equity Perspective on Life Settlements and Longevity Markets by Emily Pollack, Partner of Cornell Capital.

The Conference closed with a research presentation on the Use of Word Association and Artificial Intelligence to Estimate Life Expectancy by Dr. Dani Bauer of the University of Wisconsin.
