S&A Telephone Awarded CPF Broadband Grant

ALLEN, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--S&A Telephone, a Highline company, is excited to announce that Governor Laura Kelly has announced its application in Lyon County has been selected for one of the CPF Broadband Grant Programs with an award of $3.76 million to connect 421 premises to high-speed fiber Internet.

Under this Kansas state program, S&A Telephone will be awarded a grant fund and will combine matching funds, which will provide a total investment into building and deploying the state-of-the-art fiber-optic infrastructure necessary to connect Lyon County residents to reliable high-speed internet service.

In utilizing these funds, S&A Telephone advances its core mission of providing lightning-fast, symmetrical gigabit-level internet access to unserved, underserved, and unhappily served households and rural communities. The ability to provide broadband service in Lyon County will help address the digital divide, that has been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought into stark focus the difficulties associated with working remotely, schooling at home, and receiving telehealth services.
