Heather Bender Joins HealthEdge as Chief People Officer

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HealthEdge announced today that Heather Bender has joined the company as Chief People Officer, overseeing the global Human Resources function. Bender brings over 25 years of experience in HR leadership to HealthEdge, with an emphasis on global workforce planning, talent management and culture development.

“Heather has significant expertise in building out large organizations with strong process orientation, helping scale and fortify for the future, and navigating the unique challenges associated with being a public company,” said Steve Krupa, HealthEdge CEO. “These traits are critical as we continue to grow and expand our organization and move towards our ultimate goal of digitally transforming healthcare.”

Bender most recently served as Vice President of Talent at iRobot, where she was responsible for leading the efforts to elevate and renew the company’s talent strategies and culture as iRobot transformed to a consumer technology company. She oversaw the global HR Business Partner teams, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Learning and Development and Diversity & Inclusion programs. Prior to iRobot, Bender held HR Business Partner roles at Sun Microsystems and at Nokia. After working the transition of Nokia’s mobile phone software business to Microsoft, she was instrumental in the integration of the remaining location services businesses and the formation of the enterprise HR strategy and talent/cultural initiatives for the spin-off, HERE Technologies.

“I am thrilled to join the HealthEdge team, which has grown exponentially over the last few years,” said Bender. “Our people are our greatest asset, and I look forward to continuing to foster a culture of inclusion and innovation for HealthEdge employees, today and in the years to come.”
