Stephens Insurance Hires Oil & Gas Industry Veteran David Zarr

Appointment Reinforces Capabilities and Growth in the Houston Market

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stephens Insurance, LLC, an affiliate of Stephens Inc., today announced the hiring of David Zarr as Executive Vice President. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry with a deep focus on the energy sector. He will be based in the Houston office of Stephens Insurance.

In his new role, Mr. Zarr will help grow the Stephens Insurance presence in the Houston market and expand the firm’s capabilities serving clients in the oil & gas industry. He joins Stephens Insurance from Marsh. Prior to its acquisition by Marsh, Mr. Zarr spent over 20 years with Wortham, where he rose to the rank of Managing Director. He began his professional career with JH Blades. Mr. Zarr received a BBA and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Zarr has a non-solicitation agreement with his former employer which prevents him from soliciting clients he previously serviced for a period of one year. Mr. Zarr and Stephens will honor this agreement and will not solicit these clients in accordance with applicable law.
