Prodigy Care Services Announces its ProdigyRx Clinical Panel

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Prodigy Care Services has formed a clinical panel to provide insight and guidance to its workers’ compensation pharmacy benefits manager, ProdigyRx.

The panel brings expertise in a wide range of pharmacy management areas to support ProdigyRx’s clinical programs, evaluate emerging therapies, and consult on extremely complex cases. Initial members are Maud Boateng, Pharm.D., MBA, M.S., P.A.C.S., P.M.P.; A. J. Day, Pharm.D.; Phuoc Anne Nguyen, Pharm.D., M.S., B.C.P.S.; Nicole Olson, Pharm.D., B.C.A.C.P.; and Eddu Oparie-Addoh, Pharm.D., B.C.P.S., B.C.C.C.P.

“Our clinical panelists are accomplished Pharm.Ds, thought leaders and practicing clinical professionals who understand the clinical needs of patients in various practice specialties,” said Prodigy CEO and Co-founder Del Doherty, Pharm.D., Ph.D., MBA.

For example, Dr. Boateng has a strong background in specialty pharmacy and has worked in the infusion, hospital and retail pharmacy industries. Her eclectic educational background combines a Pharm.D with a leadership emphasis, a master’s in Clinical Research and an MBA with a focus on health care administration and human resources.

Vice President of Clinical Services at PCCA, Dr. Day has over 15 years’ experience in clinical and compounding pharmacy. He has been heavily involved in regulatory issues, working with the FDA and several state boards of pharmacy to review pharmacy policies regarding patient access and quality control. Dr. Day has also published nine articles in seven journals on clinical topics.

Dr. Nguyen has over a decade of health system experience, focused on population health, pharmacy operations, clinical services, and healthcare leadership. A CDC Fellow in Population Health, Dr. Nguyen serves on the faculty of the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Working in in-patient hospital settings for most of her career, she is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist. Dr. Nguyen is also a medical writer and a career and leadership coach.

A board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist, Dr. Olson performs comprehensive medication reviews and manages chronic disease states by optimizing patients’ medications. She has more than 10 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience, mainly in cardiology.

Dr. Oparie-Addoh has served as a pharmacist in hospital settings for more than 10 years and is currently with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. He provides pharmacotherapy services to manage acute and chronic conditions, specifically trauma and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, and nutrition support. He holds the Certified Nutrition Support Clinician credential and is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
