AM Best to Sponsor and Present Insurance Market Outlooks and Trend Analysis at American Property Casualty Insurers Association’s Annual Meeting

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will host a market briefing on the state of the U.S. property/casualty insurance industry in conjunction with the American Property Casualty Insurers Association’s (APCIA) Annual Meeting, on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at 2 p.m. CDT at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. AM Best also will be sponsoring the opening reception at the conference.

Stefan Holzberger, chief rating officer, and Greg Williams, senior director, both of AM Best, will lead the market briefing and discuss segment outlooks for the personal and commercial lines of business within the U.S. property/casualty industry, as well as financial performance trends. The session also will look at market trends for delegated underwriting authority enterprises (DUAE), such as managing general agents and other underwriting agencies, as well a primer on Best’s Performance Assessments for DUAEs an industry-first tool providing an objective, independent opinion of a DUAE’s ability to perform services on behalf of carriers. Also as part of the briefing, the analysts will explore the growing impact of so-called secondary perils (e.g., tornadoes, hail) and rising loss costs amid inflationary and supply chain pressures. The briefing will take place in the Senator's Lecture Hall at the Hilton Anatole, the same location as the APCIA conference.

The purpose of the APCIA is to advocate for its members’ public policy positions in all 50 states and in the U.S. Congress, as well as to keep members current on the information that is critical to their businesses. The annual APCIA event runs from Oct. 2-4. AM Best also is sponsoring the opening cocktail reception on Oct. 2, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. (CDT) in the Chantilly Foyer of the Hilton Anatole.

Both events are open to APCIA attendees. To register, or for additional information about the APCIA and the annual conference, please visit the event webpage and agenda or email conferenceinformation@ambest.com.
