AM Best to Sponsor and Present U.S. Life/Annuity Market Insight at ACLI Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will lead a session on focused on the impacts of rising interest rates on U.S. life/annuity insurers at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) Annual Conference, which takes place, Sept. 28-20, 2022, in Washington D.C.

Michael Porcelli, senior director, and Jacqalene Lentz, director, both of AM Best, will deliver the presentation, titled, “Interest Rates are Finally Rising, What is AM Best’s View and Impact to AM Best’s Rating Process and Building Blocks,” during which they will review insurers’ performance and share their perspectives on the state of the life/annuity industry. They also will discuss how life insurers are addressing other current issues and challenges facing primary writers and life reinsurers, and how these could have an impact on AM Best’s ratings of these companies.

The senior AM Best analysts each hold decades of experience in the insurance industry, managing analytic teams responsible for the rating agency’s coverage of the North American and Caribbean life/annuity sector. The session will take place Friday, Sept. 30, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT).

The annual ACLI event brings together senior executives from life insurance and financial services companies to examine current business and political issues. This year’s online program, of which AM Best is sponsoring as a conference partner, is themed as LIFT (Life Insurers Fuel Transformation), and features sessions addressing investment, compliance, legislative and accounting issues.
