NCPERS Names Lizzy Lees as Director of Communications

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ms. Lizzy Lees has joined the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) as the Director of Communications, bringing with her nearly ten years of digital marketing and strategic communications experience.

In this role, she will be responsible for overseeing NCPERS’ internal and external communications strategies, including managing the organization’s marketing efforts, media relations, and digital content.

Commenting on the new hire, Executive Director and Counsel Hank Kim said, “We are thrilled to have Lizzy on board. NCPERS created this position to allow for in-house oversight of our overall communications strategy. With this more holistic perspective, we’ll be able to strengthen our internal and external communications as we continue to work to improve retirement security for the public workforce. I look forward to working with Lizzy to craft and execute cohesive and impactful messaging for NCPERS.”

Most recently, Lees served as the Senior Director of Digital Media and Marketing at Nareit. In her six-year tenure at the trade association, she worked extensively on Nareit’s websites and digital assets; oversaw the marketing efforts for events, initiatives, and publications; developed strategies for member recruitment and retention efforts; and launched the organization’s webinar program. She also led the development of Nareit’s trustee-oriented microsite, https://pensionsandrealestate.com/.

“NCPERS is a fantastic organization, and I’m excited to join the team,” said Lees. “I’m looking forward to diving right into the important work of advocating on behalf of the public pensions and giving additional visibility to NCPERS’ key initiatives.”
