One80 Intermediaries Expands Warranty Business With the Acquisition of Montage, Inc.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--One80 Intermediaries (One80), a specialty insurance broker headquartered in Boston, today announced that it has acquired Montage, Inc. (Montage). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Included in the transaction are Montage Furniture Services and Montage Jewelry Care, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The firm provides protection plans for residential furniture, jewelry and watch purchases. Protection plans are distributed direct to consumers and through retail partners, and include traditional pooled risk, and captive/reinsurance protection programs. Montage has been in business for over 40 years and was the first traditional furniture protection plan vendor in the United States to offer plans backed by the security of an “A” rated underwriter.
