Gotodoctor.ca Appoints David Tompkins to its Advisory Board

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gotodoctor.ca (“Gotodoctor.ca” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce Mr. David Tompkins, a member of the Manitoba Blue Cross senior leadership team, has joined its Advisory Board (the “Board”).

On July 4, 2022, Mr. Tompkins, Manitoba Blue Cross Director – Sales, commenced his appointment as an advisor to the Company. Mr. Tompkins brings with him a deep network and extensive experience in the healthcare and insurance industries, in sales, plan development and operations.

Mr. Tompkins joins an Advisory Board composed of a diverse group of healthcare leaders with valuable experience and expertise. The Board leverages its comprehensive knowledge across biotech, health technology, patient care, insurance and employee benefits fields to help support the success of Gotodoctor.ca through its in-person, in-pharmacy and consumer virtual care platforms.

David Tompkins brings to the Advisory Board 32 years of sales, sales management and account management experience in group benefits and pension plans. He is a member of the National Sales and Marketing Committee of the Canadian Association of Blue Cross Plans, past Chair of the Manitoba Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute Regional Council and a past member of the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute National Board of Directors. Mr. Tompkins’s expertise lies in plan management, funding and design as well as sales distribution and management. Having managed public, private, labour trust and multi-employer group plans across many regions in Canada, he has gained a unique perspective on the different needs of various benefits environments.
