Reach3 Insights Launches Health Practice

Pioneering mobile market research firm adds industry experts Katy Palmer, PhD, and Brad Perkins, as Senior Vice Presidents of Health

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Reach3 Insights, a dynamic market research consultancy focused on experiential insight gathering through mobile messaging-based conversational research solutions, today announced expansion into the health industry with the appointments of Katy Palmer, PhD, and Brad Perkins, as Senior Vice Presidents.

The new Health practice will round out Reach3’s industry-specific insight teams, which currently include Technology & Media, CPG, Retail and Financial Services. The health industry is one of the biggest consumers of marketing intelligence and includes Pharma/Biotech, Hospital Systems, Health Insurers, Medical Devices and other ancillary health services. With the addition of Palmer and Perkins, this practice will serve the industry’s need for applying more innovative methods to uncovering critical business insights.

“Since launching Reach3 Insights just over 4 years ago, we’ve been amazed at client demand for our immersive mobile messaging-based insight solutions that enable companies to get closer to the context driving human behaviors,” said Founder & CEO of Reach3 Insights, Matt Kleinschmit. “I am excited to have Katy and Brad on board so that we can now bring these same techniques to the healthcare industry as it undergoes massive digital transformation and becomes increasingly consumer-centric.”

Palmer brings over 20 years of leadership skills and consultative insight experience across the health arena. She will be charged with developing a world class Health insights team that leverages innovative mobile messaging-based conversational research solutions to help leaders in Pharmaceutical/Biotech, Health Systems, Insurers and Medical Device manufacturers succeed in today’s increasingly connected world. Palmer has successfully led Health practices at Phoenix Marketing International and Escalent. She holds a PhD in immunology and infectious disease from Washington University in St. Louis.

“The pandemic was a catalyst to the technological transformation of healthcare. From mRNA vaccine technology to telehealth visits, virtual sales reps, remote clinical trial monitoring, and even the logo redesign of Sanofi and GSK recently, the health space has been transformed,” said Palmer. “Reach3’s conversational, mobile, chat-based approach is well aligned with this health industry transformation. We believe our unique platform can align with where consumers and providers of healthcare are today in the digital world, providing superior insights to support successful brands.”

Perkins has 25 years of combined pharmaceutical and healthcare consulting experience. As a research solution architect, he is known for his creativity in problem solving; while as a consultant has been recognized for his depth of insight and strategic guidance based on proven marketing fundamentals. Perkins will be in charge of commercializing Reach3’s innovative mobile messaging-based conversational research solutions to help leaders across all healthcare sectors stay ahead and reap the benefits of mobile technology advancements. Prior to co-founding the Reach3 Healthcare practice, Perkins held healthcare MR leadership positions within Phoenix Marketing International, Escalent and Quintiles Consulting.

“Having been at the forefront of bringing internet-based research to healthcare at the beginning of the millennium, it's clear that while this was a huge leap forward, it represented an evolutionary step rather than a destination,” said Perkins. “I see many parallels in Reach3’s conversational approach, which represents the logical next step in this evolution of meeting people where they are; and in enhancing the authenticity and depth of insights. I look forward to helping clients adopt this novel approach in ways that unlock a wide range of research benefits in both insights and stakeholder access.”
