Snowplow Expands Global Operations with Opening of Boston Office

Appoints Nick King – Executive with Proven Track Record of Defining and Driving New Markets as President, Chief Product & Marketing Officer to Advance Data Creation Category

BOSTON--()--Snowplow, the industry leader in data creation and behavioral data, today announced the expansion of its global operations with the opening of an office in Boston, MA. The Boston office will become the center of Snowplow’s rapidly expanding US operations, and the co-headquarters for the company, alongside the existing London, UK office.

“We are excited to build our second HQ for Snowplow in Boston,” said Alex Dean, CEO and co-founder of Snowplow. “Working with our new chair Chris Lynch in Boston, we quickly realized that the city has a thriving software sector and an abundance of highly-skilled technology talent – particularly in the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) fields.”

Snowplow’s Boston office will open on July 1, 2022, and the company will commence a hiring drive from this month.

Coinciding with the opening of its Boston office, Snowplow has continued its industry momentum by announcing the appointment of Nick King as President, Chief Product and Marketing Officer. King brings extensive experience in starting and scaling market-defining categories in his roles across DataRobot, Cisco, VMware, Google, and Microsoft. He will lead the Boston office and oversee further expansion in the US and globally.

King most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer of Boston-based DataRobot, where he led the company’s growth and marketing strategy, as well as alliances and strategic partnerships. In his time at DataRobot, he established its AI Cloud category positioning, propelling the organization and the enterprise AI market forward.

Commenting on his appointment, Nick King, President, Chief Product and Marketing Officer, Snowplow said, “Snowplow is on an incredible growth trajectory, as the leader in the data creation and behavioral data space. For too long data teams have relied on data exhaust to drive model training, with Snowplow customers can build incredibly detailed custom data to their business and scale their data processing needs to billions of events per day.”

Snowplow was built from the ground up to enable organizations to create data for AI and advanced analytics. Rather than spending inordinate amounts of time cleansing, preparing, and wrangling data exhaust – the by-product data from existing applications – Snowplow is pioneering the ability for any organization to deliberately design and deliver an AI-ready data asset that harnesses the predictive power of behavioral data.

Companies can now create and consume data about customer and system behavior in astonishing detail, using it to power an array of commercial use cases, from marketing attribution to product analytics, to fraud detection.

Snowplow is seeing very strong demand from customers, with a quarter of a trillion events per month currently being generated on the commercial platform,

Alex Dean, CEO and co-founder of Snowplow, commented, “Nick’s career sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing. He is uniquely expert at defining, building, and scaling new markets across both incumbent and early to late-stage startup environments. Nick’s experience and vision make him the best person to drive Snowplow’s growth and expansion plans forward.”
