Code42 Wins Two Prestigious Industry Awards at RSA Conference 2022

Leading Insider Risk Management company takes home 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Award and Global InfoSec Award

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Code42 Software, Inc., the Insider Risk Management (IRM) leader, today announced it has won two security industry awards at RSA Conference 2022. Code42 was named a winner of the 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Awards in the Data Protection category and a Global InfoSec Awards “Market Leader in the Insider Threat Detection” category by Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM) , the industry’s leading electronic information security magazine. Code42 has played a defining role in developing a vision and requirements for the IRM category – now recognized by Gartner, IDC and Forrester – and is a founding member of the Insider Risk Summit and Insider Risk Community.

“The tools that were created 15 to 20 years ago to keep our data safe were built before the cloud was a thing. It’s clear those tools aren’t making the cut anymore. Now, with the digitization of data, people working remotely and the workforce turnover we’re seeing today, we need a new way to secure our IP, source code and customer information,” said Joe Payne, Code42 president and CEO. “That’s why we’re providing organizations with innovative IRM tools that help security teams see when their data goes to untrusted locations, while wrapping a layer of security around the collaboration tools we want employees to use. It’s an honor to be recognized at this year’s RSA Conference with these awards.”

The 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Awards named Code42 the winner in the Data Protection category. This industry awards program looks to identify and reward the world’s leading companies and products that are working to keep data and electronic assets safe among a growing threat from hackers. Unlike other industry award programs, these programs are judged by business executives having experience and knowledge. The organization's proprietary and unique scoring system selectively measures performance across multiple business domains and rewards those companies whose achievements stand above those of their peers.

Code42 was named a Global InfoSec Award winner “Market Leader in Insider Threat Detection” by Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM). This is Cyber Defense Magazine’s tenth year of honoring InfoSec innovators from around the Globe. The judges are CISSP, FMDHS, CEH, certified security professionals who voted based on their independent review of the company submitted materials on the website of each submission including but not limited to data sheets, white papers, product literature and other market variables.

These awards are just two of many industry accolades Code42 has received of late. For the second consecutive edition, Gartner identified Code42 as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner 2022 Market Guide for Insider Risk Management Solutions report. Code42 was ranked to Inc. Magazine’s annual Best Workplaces list for the third consecutive year. For the second time, Code42 was named to the JMP Securities Elite 80, which highlights the 80 hottest privately held cybersecurity and IT infrastructure vendors.

Code42 is exhibiting at RSA Conference in booth #N-4634 at the Moscone Center North Expo in San Francisco and providing live demonstrations of the Code42® Incydr™ product and Code42® Instructor™ micro-learning solution.
