Opstad will oversee the continued development, innovation and management of all Zipari’s health plan solutions.

Opstad brings more than two decades of experience in product management for software and health IT companies to the role. He joins Zipari from Inovalon where, as a Senior Vice President of Product Management, he helped build a best-in-class organization, drive new product development, and spurred rapid revenue growth while leading the company’s business development team. Prior to Inovalon, Opstad served as Vice President of Product Management at Surgical Information Systems, a provider of information systems and software solutions for the surgical environment. He has held leadership positions at several other health IT companies, including Healthland––a developer of EHR systems for rural healthcare systems––and Ingenix, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group.

He has also led efforts to restructure product portfolios, establish more efficient operational processes and improve operational execution. In addition, he has restructured pricing policy and managed pricing strategy to ensure market competitiveness, high win-rates, and maximize earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), as well as revenue.
