Bittrex Launches USDC Trading Pairs

The launch enables USDC to be used as a quote currency on Bittrex platform

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bittrex, a leading U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange, today announced that it has added support for USD Coin (USDC) to its list of trading pairs. Traders will now have the ability to trade against USDC along with other quote currencies currently available on the Bittrex exchange.

Cryptocurrency pairs are a valuable tool for allowing users to compare costs between currencies. With USDC pairs now available on the Bittrex platform, traders can directly compare prices of popular crypto assets – such as ETH and BTC – to another U.S. dollar pegged stablecoin. USDC will act as a “quote currency” for other digital assets, giving users a reference against other currencies.

“Providing our traders access to the latest in crypto trading options is paramount for Bittrex, and we’re excited to introduce this for our customers,” said Heidi Gold, Vice President of Product at Bittrex. “As USDC has been more widely adopted globally in the past year, it became increasingly clear that Bittrex had an opportunity to support its users by adding this availability to our platform.”

USDC, one of the fastest-growing, dollar digital assets, stands at more than $49 billion in circulation and has supported more than $1.9 trillion in on-chain transactions as of April, 2022.

“It is exciting to see support for USDC from more leading exchanges,” said Joao Reginatto, VP of Product at Circle. “The addition of USDC as a quote currency to Bittrex will give traders more options and enhanced liquidity, making it easier to access and exchange value on-chain.”

USDC joins an extensive list of trading pairs currently available on the Bittrex platform, including USD, BTC, ETH, and USDT.
