Rose International Launches Environmental Social Governance Initiative

Rose makes long-term commitment to environmental and social responsibility

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rose International, a leading staffing agency, announced today that it launched RENEW (Rose Effecting New Environmental Wellness), an initiative focused on environmental and social responsibility further cementing the organization’s commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG). Committed to restoring and protecting the environment as well as preserving the health and safety of its employees and the communities where it operates, Rose International plans to implement ESG changes companywide through 2030, as it remains dedicated to helping keep Earth healthy and green.

Rose International brings an existing, long-standing commitment to the environment as it formalizes its efforts with RENEW. The company achieved carbon neutrality in 2021 and plans to actively continue these efforts in the years to come. In this regard, Rose International partnered with Gold Standard, an environmental best practice standard, to offset the company’s emissions and reduce its carbon footprint.

The company also partnered with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation, to plant one tree for each employee hired. Commemorating hires made in 2021, Rose International joined the Million Tree Challenge, donating $10,000 to plant 10,000 trees across National Forests in the U.S. This year the Million Tree Challenge directly benefits two projects of 150 National Forests across 43 states.

“Whether we’re business leaders or individuals, we’re all citizens of Earth with the capability and responsibility to contribute to solutions to bring our planet back to balance,” said Sue Bhatia, founder and chairwoman of Rose International. “Through RENEW, we continue to commit and collaborate to repair our damaged planet, as it may very well be the greatest challenge we as humans ever face.”

The structure of RENEW allows Rose International to take a comprehensive approach to ESG. RENEW’s objectives focus on the planet (environmental), people (social) and economics (profit). The environmental objective emphasizes the responsibility to conserve natural resources and protect global ecosystems to support health and wellbeing, now and in the future. The social objective concentrates on creating a diverse and equitable society that successfully meets the basic social needs of citizens. The economics objective supports long-term economic development/growth without negatively affecting the social, environmental and cultural elements of the community.
