AM Best to Participate and Exhibit at RIMS’ 2022 RISKWORLD Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will participate and exhibit at RISKWORLDthe RIMS 2022 Annual Conference and Exhibitionwith sessions that will focus on the captive insurance industry and country risk in emerging markets. The risk management event takes place April 10-13 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

On April 11, at 2:30 p.m. (PDT), Dan Teclaw, associate director, AM Best will lead a session, titled, “Think Like a Captive: Innovative Solutions Continue to Prevail.” The session will explore how captive insurance has responded to COVID-19, social inflation, climate risk, secondary catastrophe perils and regulatory demands. Teclaw also will discuss innovations in product and process, for single parent and group captives, created in response to these evolving market challenges.

Ann Modica, associate director, credit rating criteria, industry research and analytics, will give a presentation on April 12, at 1:30 p.m. (PDT), on the unique challenges insurance companies face while operating in emerging markets in a session, titled, “Navigating Country Risk in Emerging Markets.” As part of the discussion, Modica will identify key economic, political and financial risks that require in-depth analysis for sound decision-making and how these may have changed for emerging economies in the wake of the pandemic.

In addition, AM Best will exhibit at booth No. 1024 at the conference. Visitors to the AM Best booth can learn about the rating agency, its role in the insurance industry and the resources it offers to insurance professionals, including Best’s Credit Ratings, insurance data and analysis resources and financial data products.
